Sports Activity Coordinator / Sports Coach - Closing date - Tuesday 5th June
In September 2018, we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Sports Activity Coordinator / Sports Coach to join our existing team, working with children throughout the school to further develop competitive sport.
The successful candidate will work one afternoon per week from 12.45pm to 4.45pm selecting, preparing and coaching individuals to take part in a wide range of local New Forest Sports Partnership Competitions, and running an After School Sports Club. In addition to working one afternoon per week, the Sports Activity Coordinator / Sports Coach will also be responsible for driving our minibus, transporting children to and from various competitions which are held throughout the year, supervising activities before, during and at the end of each competition.
The Sports Activity Coordinator/ Sports Coach will be responsible for selecting which competitions the school enters. Please refer to the New Forest Schools Sports Partnership Competition Calendar below to gain an idea of the range and number of competitions that are held each year. Typically St Luke’s enters approximately 20-25 competitions each year. It is essential therefore, that our new Sports Activity Coordinator has the flexibility to be able to take children to competitions in addition to working one afternoon each week. Ideally, this post would suit a retired teacher interested in sport, someone looking for a part time post or a sports coach, who is able to commit to working additional days throughout the year for competitions.
