Despite the poor weather today, based on the latest forecasts, we are currently planning for Sports Morning to go ahead tomorrow, Friday 12 June.
We are keen to proceed, as finding an alternative date may prove difficult. We are also mindful that many parents, like us, are juggling a range of commitments and may have arranged time away from work to attend. However, Health and Safety will always take precedence. To help ensure children are comfortable, ground mats will be provided for them to sit on tomorrow, and we recommend that everyone brings a waterproof coat.
In light of our very changeable weather and forecasts, we will however review both the condition of the field and the weather in the morning, once this latest period of heavy rain has passed.
A final decision will be made by 8:00am tomorrow and posted here. As outlined above, our current preference and plan is to proceed.
Therefore, all children should attend school in their PE kit as planned and we look forward to the event starting at 9.15am.
Although a few parents have been calling to ask for individual updates, we would kindly ask that parents do not contact the school individually about whether the morning will be going ahead Please check here at 8am tomorrow.
Fingers crossed, the break in the weather currently forecast for tomorrow will allow us to go ahead.
