Welcome to St Luke's Church of England Primary School
It is our privilege to welcome you to St Luke’s School. Our website is intended to be a window into the highest quality of education that we offer here, and to give you a sense of who we are and our shared vision and values.
We are proud of our primary school for children aged four to eleven. We are known for our high expectations, high standards, our first class education and our innovative approach. Our curriculum is broad, and its progressive and sequential nature in every subject ensures that children are inspired and can successfully journey through seven years of learning with us.
We believe that there is no tension between our academic ambition for all and a holistic education which supports every young child to develop their character and sense of self. Our core Christian values of Love, Thankfulness and Hope underpin all that we do. Whether speaking with our youngest children in Year R all the way through to Year 6, an understanding and relevance of each of our values is to be found. In an ever-changing world, we have absolute confidence that our focus on these important values equip our young children for future success.
Visiting us gives an insight into the sense of belonging our children feel, where we know every young person can make positive contributions in their time here.
Our commitment is in sustaining a clear vision for all members of our school community. Indeed, we are privileged to lead this exceptional school, working alongside our dedicated and talented staff team and Governing body.
We believe passionately in the importance of strong relationships between home and school and take every opportunity to work in partnership with our families. Together we can provide the best possible support for all our children to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens and resilient and successful people. In our globally diverse and competitive world, we truly believe that we are 'laying the foundations for life’ and ‘creating tomorrow’s citizens today’.
We are advocates of providing children with many opportunities from pupil voice and leadership to wide-ranging and extensive enrichment opportunities. As a result, our children enjoy and benefit from many shared experiences. We know that when children are engaged – whether that be in music or sport, art, extra-curricular activities and academic learning – they will be supported to progress and to thrive here at St Luke’s and beyond.
As Co-Headteachers, we are excited to serve our St Luke’s School community. With our children at the centre of all we do, with our distinct ethos and our progressive and innovative vision, this is truly a special place to learn and work.
