We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated part time teaching assistant, to join our friendly and hard working team. Set in the heart of the New Forest, we offer extensive facilities and children who are delightful and eager to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant with high expectations to join our happy, successful and ‘outstanding’ school team.
The post will involve working across the school in KS1 and 2. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, being able to work alongside class teachers, in addition to being able to support children with interventions on a one to one basis or in small groups. Our new Teaching Assistant will initially focus on working with children who need additional catch up and support as a result of lockdown. There will also be a focus on supporting children who are below age related expectations in developing good reading, spelling and number skills.
An NVQ level 3 is required; experience working with children with SEND is desirable. Pay Grade is Grade C (FTE £18,933- £19,941, pro rata, £9.81-£10.34 per hour). The successful candidate will work 22.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday from 12.00pm -3.30pm and Monday and Tuesday 9am – 11.30am. The post also includes working at lunchtime as a lunchtime supervisor from 12-1pm.
