The School Day

Dropping off children at the start of the day

Many children walk to school, which is good training and helps to develop road sense.  If you bring them by car, please drop your children in a safe place near the school; the Jubilee Field has plenty of parking and is a very short walk into school - we ask that parents kindly respect our neighbours if they need to park closer.  Please do not use the staff parking areas, clearly marked just outside the school gates.  All children are expected to come straight into school for registration.

Arrangements for arrival and collection from school in September 2020

From September, children will access their class from outside using external classroom doors for their class. A clear plan showing access and exit routes for each class is below. We will be continuing to use our one way system to avoid congestion.

Class R will be expected to arrive between 8.30am and 8.40am. Children should be collected at 3.10pm

Class 2 and 4 are expected to arrive between 8.35am and 8.45am. Children should be collected at 3.15pm

Class 1 and 3 are expected to arrive between 8.40am and 8.50am. Children should be collected at 3.20pm.

Class 5 is expected to arrive between 8.45am and 8.55am. Children should be collected at 3.25pm.

Class 6 is expected to arrive between 8.50am and 9.00am. Children should be collected at 3.30pm.

Where families have more than one child attending school, both children should be dropped off / collected at the later time slot.

Registration

Registration takes place at the start of every morning and afternoon session.  It is essential that the school is notified of your child's absence due to illness, either by a telephone call or a note to your child's teacher. This should be done on the first day of absence before 9.15am.

Registers will be checked every day at 9.15am to ensure that any absent children have been accounted for.  If your child walks to school on their own or comes with another family, we would also ask that you inform the school so that we can ensure that they arrive safely.

School Session Times

Break times for both infants and juniors will be staggered each morning. Children will eat lunch in the classroom or in the hall. Times will be staggered.
