FOSLSS will be running a Colour Run on the school field from 2.30pm - 3.45pm on Friday 27th June. The final deadline for entries was Thursday 12th June and we will not be able to accept late payments.
Entry costs £6 per person (adults and children) payable via Parentpay, along with confirmation of a waiver agreement. Children and adults who do not wish to participate will be able to watch and cheer everyone on!
The event will begin with a fun group warm up led by local fitness coach, Ethan Geard from Ethan Geard Fitness. The nature of the colour run is that participants wear white t-shirts and have coloured powder thrown as they run around a short course with various challenges/obstacles along the way.
There will be four colour stations along the course where colours are thrown by designated marshalls.
There will be drinks and snacks to purchase at the event, as well as additional bags of coloured powder to buy. Additionally, there will be a raffle with a very exciting twist!!! Raffle tickets will be on sale before the event at collection time and will cost 50p.
Children should come to school that day wearing their school uniform and will need to bring with them a change of clothes to wear during the colour run.
All participants are advised to wear old clothing and trainers as the powders may stain clothing/shoes. White t-shirts are recommended for maximum colour impact! We would also strongly advise that runners wear some form of eye protection. FOSLSS/the school will not take any responsibility for damage to personal clothing or equipment.
After running, participants will not be allowed back into the school building and will need to make their way around the outside of the school to go home. Children who are attending After School Club that day will need to bring an additional change of clothes.
We believe this will be a fantastic, fun-filled event for our school community, and we encourage everyone to participate and support our fundraising efforts.
