Reading

During the year, we will use a range of texts to develop our reading skills. The texts we will use are detailed below and will be updated throughout the year.

Maths

As a school, we place emphasis on teaching Maths using a Maths Mastery approach. We place emphasis on children learning to develop their fluency, reasoning and problem solving skills. We use Maths No Problem Textbooks and Workbooks in school. to find out more visit https://mathsnoproblem.com/en/parent-videos/ to watch parent videos about how maths is taught at St Luke's.

The table below highlights the textbook and chapters we are learning in Year 6.

If you wish to purchase a copy of the Textbooks (A and B) or Wokbooks (A and B) for use at home, and also to find out more about how maths in taught in school, these are available to order at https://mathsnoproblem.com/mathematics/primary

We ask all parents to support children with learning their number bonds and times tables at home; this is key to children being successful as mathematicians.
